PHOTO SHOOT @ BRIGHTEST YOUNG THINGS: SPEED DATING w/ARTISTS

On Monday, July 19, AAC and the Pink Line Project teamed up to host a SPEED DATING w/ARTISTS event at POSTE. The event was sponsored by SCION, and featured twenty contemporary artists, all ready to answer the questions of a curious public. Prospective "dates" were given three minutes to talk to each of the artists; additionally, each art-curious potential patron was given a word or phrase that related to only one of the artists present.

UNLIMITED EDITION FINALISTS

Two things: First, I'm pleased to announce that the artists for UNLIMITED EDITIONS, the AAC's show exploring marketing, mass reproduction, and commodification in art, finally have been chosen by our three judge panel--Welmoed Laanstra, Public Art Projects curator for Arlington County, responsible for Street Scenes in DC; Martin Irvine, director of D.C. gallery Irvine Contemporary and professor at Georgetown; and Kriston Capps, art critic and blogger appearing in Art in America and ArtNews.
